WIST Reports

Archival Reports (Can Be Sent to Imaging)
These reports are run by selecting the ‘End of Day Reports’ button on the main WIST application form and then either running each report individually or selecting ‘All Reports Direct to Imaging’.

Incoming Audit Trail (WIST0001.PRN)
This report provides a complete record of all incoming wire transfers imported into WIST from Fedline during the day. This report contains the complete text of each wire message, the initials of the bank personnel who verified/approved the wire, the date and times, watch list status (No matches or number of hits and the complete detail of each hit.), and the disposition of each wire message (approved, disapproved, blocked, etc). If there are no incoming wires in a business day’s processing, after the headers the report will say ‘No Activity’.

Outgoing Audit Trail (WIST0002.PRN)
This report provides a complete record of all outgoing wire transfers input into WIST during the day whether the wire message has been transmitted to the FRB or not. This report contains the complete text of each wire message, the initials of the bank personnel who submitted/verified/approved the wire, the date and times, watch list status (No matches or number of hits and the complete detail of each hit.), and the disposition of each wire message (approved, disapproved, blocked, etc). If there are no outgoing wires in a business day’s processing, after the headers the report will say ‘No Activity’.

Edits Audit Trail (WIST0003.PRN)
This report provides a record of all changes made during a business day’s processing via the ‘Edit Incoming/Outgoing Wires’ functions. This report contains the wire type (incoming/outgoing), sequence number, name of field that was edited, old value, new value, initials of bank personnel who made the edit, date of edit, and time of edit. If there were no edits during a business day, after the headers the report will say ‘No Edits Today’.

Incoming Time Tracking (WIST0004.PRN)
This report provides information on how long it takes a bank to process incoming wires, which is of most use to banks that guarantee to their customers that wire transfers will be processed in a specified timely manner. This report contains the IMAD, originator, beneficiary, sender-reference, import time, verify time, approval time, and total processing time for each wire transfer. At the end of the report the average processing time per wire is reported. If there are no incoming wires on a business day, after the headers the report will say ‘No Activity’.

Outgoing Time Tracking (WIST0005.PRN)
This report provides information on how long it takes a bank to process outgoing wires, which is of most use to banks that guarantee to their customers that wire transfers will be processed in a specified timely manner. This report contains the IMAD, originator, beneficiary, sender-reference, submit time, verify time, 1st approval time, 2nd approval time, and total processing time for each wire transfer. At the end of the report the average processing time per wire is reported. If there are no outgoing wires on a business day, after the headers the report will say ‘No Activity’.

Incoming Wire Reports
These are the reports available when processing incoming wires via ‘Incoming FedWire Verification’.

OFAC Hits Report
This report is automatically generated upon importing an incoming wire file from Fedline whenever incoming wires have hits on the OFAC or other watch lists (see document, WIST Wire Transfer OFAC Screening). The report shows the complete text of any wire messages that have hits and the complete detail of all hits. This report can be reprinted when necessary.

Old Format Report
This report is only available immediately after importing an incoming wire file from Fedline. The report shows the sequence number, account number, transaction code (Please note that, although it is required, the tran code is not used in WIST’s CustomerFile interface.), Beneficiary, OBI, and BBI. These are fields that the user might need to edit. A starting sequence number can be specified, so that the user does not have to reprint the entire report each time an incoming wire file is processed.

New Format Report
This report is only available immediately after importing an incoming wire file from Fedline; however, the information on this report is contained on the Incoming Audit Trail as noted above. The report shows the complete text of each wire message. A starting sequence number can be specified, so that the user does not have to reprint the entire report each time an incoming wire file is processed.

Edited Incoming Wire Report
This report is the same as the ‘Old Format Report’ except that it includes totals at the end.

Outgoing Wire Reports
These are the reports available when processing outgoing wires via ‘Outgoing FedWire Verification’.

OFAC Hits Report
This report is automatically generated upon importing an outgoing wire file from Fedline whenever outgoing wires have hits on the OFAC or other watch lists (see document, WIST Wire Transfer OFAC Screening). The report shows the complete text of any wire messages that have hits and the complete detail of all hits. This report can be reprinted when necessary.

The report shows the sequence number, account number, transaction code (Please note that, although it is required, the tran code is not used in WIST’s CustomerFile interface.), Originator, OBI, and BBI. These are fields that the user might need to edit. A starting sequence number can be specified, so that the user does not have to reprint the entire report each time an outgoing wire file is processed.

New Format Report
This report is only available immediately after importing an outgoing wire file from Fedline; however, the information on this report is contained on the Outgoing Audit Trail as noted above. The report shows the complete text of each wire message. A starting sequence number can be specified, so that the user does not have to reprint the entire report each time an outgoing wire file is processed.

Edited Outgoing Wire Report
This report is the same as the ‘Old Format Report’ except that it includes totals at the end.

Notices
There are two types of notices; standard notices that print three to a page and full page notices. The full page notices have a format similar to the email/fax advises except that the originator and beneficiary information has been rearranged to show up in the window of a standard #10 envelope. The notices are sorted by customer and incoming and outgoing wire transfers. This provides for the notices to be printed by account with the incoming and outgoing notices together, to facilitate envelope stuffing and mailing.

Maintenance Reports
These reports, with the exception of the Parameter Maintenance report, are available under the ‘Maintenance’ column on the main WIST processing form.

Parameter Maintenance Report
This report is accessed in ‘Parameters Maintenance’ via ‘Administrative Tasks’. This report lists each entry in the Parameter File. This listing is to be kept by the person in charge of WIST. It contains all information controlling the system.

Waived Fee Account Numbers Report
This report is accessed via the ‘Print Waived Fee Account Numbers’ button. The report shows the data for all accounts for which the bank chooses to override its default pricing scheme as shown on the Parameter Maintenance report. This report contains the account number, account name, incoming/outgoing waive flags, and incoming/outgoing alternate rates.

Name and Address Report
This report is accessed via the ‘Print Name and Address File’ button. The report shows the account number, name, and address for each entry in the file. Please note: WIST for CustomerFile does not use the Name and Address file; all address information is retrieved from the mainframe. This report should not be used for Fiserv banks.

Waived Fee Reports
This report is accessed via the ‘Print Waived Fee Reports’ button. This report shows the bank which accounts have waived fees during a business day and the amount. These reports do not have much use in WIST for CustomerFile, as we zero out the fees on wires that have fees waived to keep from generating transactions. We suggest that the Fiserv banks do not use this report.

Cash Position Report
This report is accessed via the ‘Cash Position Report’ button. The report shows the number of wires and total amount of wires in every stage of processing. There are three sections, incoming, outgoing, and eCorp wires. The object of this report is to give the bank a way to predict how large a balance they need in their FRB account to help avoid a ‘daylight overdraft’ situation.
